DUKE OF KENT

PRINCE EDWARD, fourth son of his majesty, was born Nov. 2, 1767. On April 23, 1799, he was created duke of Kent and Strathern, in Great Britain, and earl of Dublin, in Ireland. He is knight of the Garter, and of St. Patrick; field-marshal of the forces, governor of Gibralter, colonel of the first regiment of foot, and keeper 'mid ranger of Hampton-court Park.

DUKE OF CUMBERLAND

PRINCE ERNEST AUGUSTUS ,fifth son of his majesty, was born June 5, 1771. On April z3, 1799, he was created duke of Cumberland and Tiviotdale, in Great Britain, and earl of Armagh, in Ireland. He is knight of the Garter, chancellor of the University of Dublin; a lieutenant-general in the army, and colonel of the fifteenth regiment of light dragoons.
