Matthew was driving while I was outside disconnecting the air pipe. He was in such a rush to get moving I could not keep up. Falling over fell in the mud and was pulled along for quite a distance, mud everywhere and feeling really mad! Matthew only stopped the bus for another tyre had gone and the first was near flat again. The second tyre we found had picked up three nails and was a real problem to repair. She was studying Zoology at the Poly and helped us with the Poly shows. We became great friends and I used to visit her at her parents house in Maidenhead Her father owned the company of Taylor Typewriters I spent many happy days there and also had a lovely house in Hampstead Marion had just decided to break and I made some advances to Angela to fill this void but I felt she wanted just a friend not a serious relationship. Later on this friendship was to last over fifty years and only broke on her untimely death in 1999.
